Fixed Fee. No % Cuts100% of your entitlement stays yours
"I started BAC because veterans deserve an advocate who is truly on their side. Everything we do is built on our values: integrity, transparency, and care."
Kai Baldwin is a veteran. He was medically separated from the ADF and went through the entire DVA process himself. The claims, the paperwork, the frustration, the delays. He knows exactly how it all goes because he's lived it.
That firsthand experience is what drives everything BAC does. Over the years, Kai has helped thousands of veterans navigate the DVA system. BAC was built to be a one-stop shop for everything DVA. From initial liability claims through to permanent impairment, appeals, ComSuper, and for those who are eligible, Retrospective Medical Discharge, a complex and often misunderstood pathway that can be life-changing for veterans who were discharged without proper medical recognition.
Kai is honest, sometimes to a fault, and always transparent. You'll never get a runaround or be left wondering where things are at. What you see is what you get.
Baldwin Advocacy & Claims was founded on our values of integrity, transparency, and care. Your entitlements belong to you.
BAC operates on a fixed-fee model. Transparent, fair, and aligned with where the industry needs to go. Kai is also publicly supporting the Senate Inquiry into veteran advocacy fee structures.
This isn't just a business to Kai. It's personal.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions.
What does "fixed fee" actually mean?
+
It means you know the full cost of our service upfront, before we begin any work. Unlike percentage-based advocates who take a cut of your backdated payment (often thousands of dollars), BAC charges a set fee. 100% of your DVA entitlement goes to you.
Is the initial consultation really free?
+
Yes, completely free, no-obligation, and 100% confidential. We'll have a conversation about your situation, your service history, and what you may be entitled to. There's no pressure to proceed.
What types of DVA claims do you help with?
+
We support veterans with Initial Liability claims, Permanent Impairment claims, PI Reassessments, Appeals & Reviews, Retrospective Medical Discharge applications, Medical Separation assistance, and ComSuper / Military Superannuation claims. If you're not sure what applies to you, that's exactly what the free consult is for.
Do I need to be discharged to make a claim?
+
No. Both currently serving ADF members and discharged veterans can make DVA claims. Your eligibility depends on your service history and conditions, not whether you're still serving.
How is BAC different from other DVA advocates?
+
Most advocates charge a percentage of your backdated payment, meaning the more you're owed, the more they take. BAC uses a fixed-fee model so there's no conflict of interest. We're also veteran owned and led, and we're actively supporting the Senate Inquiry into advocacy fee reform.
Can you help if my claim has already been declined?
+
Yes. A declined claim is not always the final answer. We can review your case, identify where things may have gone wrong, and help you through the appeals and review process with additional supporting evidence.
Do you work with veterans across all of Australia?
+
Yes. BAC supports veterans Australia-wide. We work remotely with veterans across every state and territory, so no matter where you're based, we can help.

How We Help
Every Step. Every Claim.
Most veterans don't just have one claim, they have several. BAC is built to manage your entire DVA journey from start to finish, so you're not bouncing between providers or starting over each time.
Initial Liability Claims
Start your DVA claim with the right support
If you have service-related medical conditions, the first step is having them accepted by DVA through an Initial Liability claim.
New DVA claims
Service-related conditions
Claim preparation and submission
Medical evidence coordination
Permanent Impairment Claims
Access the compensation you are entitled to
Once your conditions are accepted by DVA, you may be eligible for Permanent Impairment compensation, which can include lump sum payments.
Permanent Impairment claims
DVA lump sum compensation
Medical assessment coordination
PI claim paperwork
Permanent Impairment Reassessments
Your conditions changed, your claim should too
If your accepted conditions have worsened over time, you may be eligible for a reassessment and additional compensation.
Permanent Impairment reassessments
Worsening conditions
Increased DVA compensation eligibility
Reassessment applications
Medical Separation Assistance
Navigate your transition the right way
The medical separation process can be overwhelming and confusing. Kai has helped hundreds of serving members transition correctly, making sure nothing is missed and your entitlements are protected from day one.
Medical separation guidance
Entitlement protection during transition
Coordination with DVA claims
End-to-end transition support
Appeals & Reviews
A declined claim is not always the final decision
If your claim has been declined or you disagree with a DVA decision, you may be able to request a review or appeal.
DVA claim reviews
DVA appeals
Declined claims
Additional medical evidence
Retrospective Medical Discharge
For those who were discharged without proper recognition
Many veterans left the ADF without proper medical recognition of conditions sustained during service. A retrospective medical discharge can unlock significant entitlements and the recognition you deserved from day one.
Retrospective medical discharge applications
Discharge category reviews
Supporting documentation & medical evidence
End-to-end case management
ComSuper / Military Superannuation
Additional financial support beyond DVA
Some veterans may be eligible for ComSuper or military superannuation invalidity benefits in addition to their DVA entitlements.

About Us
Built by a Veteran. For Veterans.
Baldwin Advocacy & Claims exists for one reason. To make sure Australian veterans receive every entitlement they've earned, without losing a cent to percentage-based fees.
Our Mission
Your Entitlements Belong to You.
For too long, the veteran advocacy industry has operated on a percentage-based fee model, where advocates take a cut of the very entitlements veterans have earned through their service.
BAC was founded to change that. We operate on a fixed-fee model. Transparent, fair, and designed to put veterans first. You know what you'll pay upfront, and 100% of your entitlement goes to you.
We're not just talking about reform. We're actively supporting the Senate Inquiry into veteran advocacy fee structures because we believe the entire industry needs to change.
What We Stand For
Our Values.
⚖️
Transparency
No hidden fees, no surprises. You know exactly what BAC costs from day one, and exactly what you'll receive.
🤝
Integrity
We do what's right for veterans, every time. No shortcuts, no grey areas. Just honest advocacy you can trust.
🏆
Care
We understand this path is stressful. We're here to take some of the pressure off you so you can focus on what matters.
