Social Services & Wellbeing
Mindful Mates is a veteran-led social work and wellbeing service supporting veterans, first responders, healthcare workers, and their families through practical, trauma-informed care, connection, and mental health support.
They also run a community Drop-In Centre providing a safe, welcoming space for connection, peer support, and access to wellbeing activities and services.
Veteran Transition Support
March Out is a veteran-led organisation supporting current and former ADF personnel through the transition from military service to civilian life. Through structured peer mentoring, life coaching, and an immersive one-day workshop, they help veterans rebuild identity and direction, translate their skills into careers, and navigate practical systems such as Medicare, DVA benefits, and finances.
They're clear about their lane: March Out is not a crisis or clinical service. Instead, they work alongside Defence, DVA, and clinical supports to strengthen transition outcomes.
Natassja Purontakanen
Financial Planning
Natassja's focus is on helping veterans move forward with clarity and confidence, ensuring financial decisions are made with a full understanding of how DVA payments impact cash flow, tax, superannuation, insurance, investments, and long-term planning.
She works collaboratively with trusted DVA advocates to provide advice that is aligned and practical for individual circumstances, because Defence clients deserve financial advice that respects both their service and their circumstances.
